CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT & PRIVATE LABEL Technology Preview

Your workflow. Your brand. Your code.

Most vertical software asks you to bend your shop around the product. This is the other arrangement: we put your name on it, build the features your process actually needs, and hand you the source code for the custom work — assigned to you, in your repository, yours to keep whether or not you keep paying us.

01

Private label

Your name, your logo, your domain, your colours — on the app your crew logs into, on every proposal that leaves the building, and on the portal your clients sign in to. Nothing on the customer-facing side has to say BidGlory.

  • Your brand in the app, the portal, and system email
  • Your domain — bids.yourcompany.com, not a vendor subdomain
  • Your proposal documents, your letterhead, your voice

02

Custom features

Not a roadmap vote you lose to a louder shop. A standing lane where the thing your business actually needs gets scoped, built, and shipped into your instance — because your process is the spec, not ours.

  • Built to your workflow, not the average of everyone's
  • Your backlog, prioritised with you on a scheduled call
  • Shipped to your instance — no waiting on a general release

03

Custom theme

Typography, colour, density, terminology. If your shop calls it a “package” and not a “bid,” the app can say package. If your proposals live or die on a particular look, we build that template properly instead of approximating it.

  • Full visual theme — colour, type, spacing, print styles
  • Custom DOCX proposal templates built to your design
  • Your vocabulary in the UI where it matters

04

You own the code

The custom work we build for you is assigned to you on payment and delivered as readable source in a repo you control. It doesn't stop working if you stop paying us, and we don't hold the source hostage to keep you.

  • Ownership assigned to you — in writing, in the Terms
  • Source + build config in your repository
  • Survives cancellation; nothing phones home to switch it off

PRICED BY BID VOLUME — NEVER PER USER

Adding people to your company shouldn't add to your software bill.

BidMagic charged by the user. We don't. There is no per-seat fee, no named-user licence, no “contact sales to add an estimator.” We charge for hosting the instance, scaled to how much you actually bid — and if you self-host under $1M a year in sales, we don't charge you at all.

This is not a launch promotion with a per-seat model waiting behind it. It's written into the licence: the grant is per instance, not per user, and you may create unlimited accounts — estimators, project managers, field techs, office staff, and your own clients in the customer portal — at no additional licensing charge.

There's no seat-counting code to work around, either — the software has no licence check, no seat enforcement, and nothing that phones home. The one boundary is scope, not headcount: an instance serves one operating company. Running other companies' work through your instance is a reseller arrangement, and we'll talk about that separately.

Read it yourself: EULA §2 and Subscription Terms §1. Like any price, ours can change in future — but only prospectively, and only on 30 days' notice.

What your team size costs, per-seat model versus BidGlory
Add to your team Per-seat model BidGlory
3 estimators 3 × seat fee $0 extra
12 field techs 12 × seat fee $0 extra
40 staff 40 × seat fee $0 extra
Every portal client often billable too $0 extra

We're describing the per-seat model, not quoting anyone else's prices. Hosting scales on how much you bid — $299/mo Standard, $899 Business, Enterprise from $2,500 — and headcount never moves you up a tier.

WHO OWNS WHAT

“You own your code” — with the boring part spelled out.

Every shop that has been burned by a vendor asks the same question, and most answers are deliberately vague. Here is the whole split. It is not a summary of a document we'll show you later — it is what our Subscription Terms §3a say, published on this site, before you talk to anyone.

Yours

The Custom Work Product — features, modules, integrations, reports, document templates, and themes built specifically for you, to your requirements.

Assigned to you on full payment. Delivered as source. Survives cancellation.

Ours

The BidGlory platform itself and our pre-existing tools and libraries — plus any general improvement that belongs in the core product for everyone.

You get a perpetual, royalty-free licence to run and modify it as embedded in your custom work.

Theirs

Third-party components stay under their own licences — .NET (MIT) and the Syncfusion UI components we license commercially.

Standard for any commercial stack. We tell you up front rather than after you've signed.

The practical test: if you cancelled tomorrow, you would still have your data (portable .bgbid exports and standard exports), still have the source for everything we built for you, and still be able to run it. The leverage that normally keeps you subscribed isn't part of this deal.

WHAT SHOPS ACTUALLY ASK FOR

The work that turns a good product into your system.

Accounting integrations

Push approved bids and invoices into QuickBooks, ERPNext, Sage, or whatever your bookkeeper actually uses — instead of retyping totals.

Distributor catalogs & pricing feeds

Automated catalog and cost updates from your distributors, mapped to your part numbers and your margin rules.

Migrations & importers

BidMagic, D-Tools, spreadsheets, a decade of legacy templates. We write the importer and verify the object counts.

Custom proposal documents

The exact document your close rate depends on — good/better/best structure, appendices, payment schedules, your typography.

Reports your owner asks for

Margin by system type, estimator win rate, labor variance against actuals. The report that currently lives in someone's spreadsheet.

Field & mobile workflows

Install checklists, punch lists, photo capture, per-tech assignment — shaped to how your crews actually work a job.

CRM & lead-source hookups

Bids that start from your CRM and push status back, so sales isn't maintaining two truths about the same job.

AI tuned to your voice

The proposal drafter trained on your language and your scope boilerplate — still behind the human approval gate.

Not on the list? That's usually a yes. The constraint is hours and technical feasibility, not category.

WHY THE HOURS GO FURTHER

“AI-enhanced hours” isn't a buzzword on the invoice.

We build BidGlory itself with agents in the loop — the same MCP tooling we ship to you. Scaffolding, test coverage, migrations, and the tedious 60% of any feature come out faster, so a booked hour buys more shipped software than it did five years ago. You get the benefit as throughput, not as a line item.

What doesn't change: a senior engineer owns the result, reviews every line, and is accountable for it. Nothing merges because a model was confident.

HOW AN ENGAGEMENT RUNS

  1. Discovery call Free, 30 minutes. Bring a real recent proposal and the thing that annoys you most. We tell you honestly whether we're the right fix.
  2. Scoped backlog We write it down as work items with estimates — not a vague statement of work. You see the list before you commit to anything.
  3. Your dev lane opens Your subscription starts. DevOps and hosting are already bundled in, so there's no separate infrastructure project to fund first.
  4. Ship, review, re-prioritise Work lands in your instance continuously. On your scheduled calls you see what shipped and re-rank what's next.
  5. Code handed over Custom work is assigned to you and lives in your repo as it's built — not dumped at the end of an engagement, if ever.

WHO YOU'RE ACTUALLY HIRING

The people who wrote the product write your feature.

BidGlory is built by ProjectThunder, a senior software studio that has been shipping since 2004. There is no offshore layer between you and the codebase, and no account manager relaying your requirements to someone who has never seen a bid grid.

We know this category from the inside: ProjectThunder was hired to build BidMagic and served as its technical lead. To be clear about the history — we are a totally separate company, and the BidMagic company ceased doing business in 2023. BidGlory is not a continuation of it. It's our own product, built because BidMagic operators keep telling us they still can't find anything better — and built to be compatible with the databases and templates they already have.

BidMagic is a trademark of its respective owner. BidGlory is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

  • No learning curve to bill you for. Your feature is written by people who already know every table it touches.
  • DevOps and hosting are bundled. Pipelines, environments, and deploys come with the plan — no separate infrastructure project to fund first.
  • Your hours don't evaporate. Unused hours bank for 24 months while your plan is active, so a slow month isn't money burned.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS BEFORE YOU ASK

The limits, stated up front.

Can I resell it under my own brand?

Branding your own instance is included. Reselling, sublicensing, or hosting it for other companies is a separate written arrangement — we'll consider OEM and reseller deals, but they aren't automatic, and any vendor who says otherwise hasn't read their own licence.

Do I get the whole BidGlory source?

You get the source for what we build for you. The core platform stays ours — though it's open source for companies under $1M/yr in sales, so you can read and self-host it either way. Third-party components (like the Syncfusion UI library) stay under their own licences.

Is my custom feature exclusive to me?

Not by default. You own what we built for you, but we may independently build comparable capability into the core product. If exclusivity matters, we agree it in writing at scoping and price it accordingly — rather than letting you assume it.

What if we stop paying?

You keep the custom code and your data; nothing we delivered switches off. What stops is the hosting, the support SLA, and further development — and any unused banked hours are forfeited at cancellation.

How fast is a feature, really?

Small things land in days. A real integration is usually a few weeks of a 10-hour month. We give you estimates as work items before you commit, and we'd rather tell you a thing is a bad idea than bill you for it.

It's a Technology Preview — is that a risk?

Yes, honestly. The product is young and moving fast, and you should expect rough edges. What it buys you is direct access to the people building it and unusual influence over where it goes — and your data is always exportable, so trying it costs you the walkthrough.

WHAT IT COSTS

The Custom Dev Path starts at $1,250/month for 10 AI-enhanced hours, with DevOps and hosting bundled in — and scales in the same increments up to 50 hours a month, self-serve. Hours bank for 24 months.
